The Power of "Nice"
When I set out to do what I am doing with this site, I never expected to be called "nice". I try to share the Word of God, and deliver it in a way that causes everyone who reads it to be a better leader and/or a stronger Christian example in the workplace. I know that sometimes the messages that I deliver hit some people in that spot that makes them say "ouch", but it is typically taken with the agape heart that they were shared in.So when Isaiah from Joie de Vivre: A Wretched Man's Quest to Follow In Jesus Christ's Footsteps tagged me with the Nice Matters Award. Isaiah selects me, "for being one of the nicest people on the blogosphere. He is one of the bloggers I most respect." The award is given out to “…those bloggers who are nice people; good blog friends and those who inspire good feelings and inspiration. Also for those who are a positive influence on our blogging world.”
For this honor, I thank Isaiah. In addition to him, there are a few other people that inspire me with their goodness...

- Julie at A Joyful Life

management by God "Lesson Learned":
"Nice" may not be my goal, but it sure does help. Be powerful or forceful when you need to, but "nice" helps you to keep the respect that you earn.

Dear Dan,
Nice is a relative term to me.
I have more respect for the straightforward than the bush-beaters (no, not referring to those who beat the other bush, a.k.a George).
So, for me, you definitely deserve it!
God bless, and Shalom.

I must admit that being mentioned for such a reward came as a great shock unto me. For I have been spoiling for a fight for a while now.
No, this not to say that I want to hurt others. For it is just that I have been made all too painfully aware of how contrary much of what I have been given to say is in comparison unto what has been generally accepted as being the truth.
Could this award have come at a better time? No, I do not believe so. For without His Love: the message is worthless.
Therefore: I humbly accept this award as a reminder of what I have been chosen to really do. Please pray that His will (and not mine) will be done in and through me.

Keep on keepin' on Jerry! The Lord has blessed you with an understanding of the Scriptures, and a heart to share what He is showing you. The fact that you find yourself so unworthy and humbled by this simply validates my reasons for selecting you.

Well, well... you truly deserve it, seeing you're humble and all. LOL. No, I believe there should be more people in this world who's like you.
